On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E47), we talk to Dandy and Dawn Brown and Nick Hannon from Lorquin's Admiral, who just released their self-titled album of the year candidate debut record via Argonauta Records a few short weeks ago. The trio gave us more than an hour to discuss the new and amazing record, the genesis of some of our favorite tracks, what it was like recording in a world-renowned studio, how the record came together with the members spread out across the world, the sound the band was going for, updates on their other projects (considering everyone is in other amazing bands), and so much more. On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E46), we talk to Keenan Kinnear, the main man from one of the show’s favorite bands, Acid Magus! All the way from South Africa, Keenan joined us late in his evening to discuss Acid Magus and their amazing latest record, Scatterling Empire, which is being pressed on vinyl as we speak and available for preorder. On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E45), we are lucky enough to have another guitar legend, Bob Balch, join the show. Bob is one of the busiest men in rock, with his full-time job as riff dealer in one of the best bands in the world, Fu Manchu, as well as his other projects like Big Scenic Nowhere, Yawning Balch, and Sun and Sail Club, to name a few, not to mention all of his guitar teaching he does. We spent a bunch of our chat talking about his new traditional metal style project coming out on Ripple Music next spring. On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E44), we talk to a young band who gives me hope that rock and roll will live on, Psalm! The Las Vegas doom trio, and lovers of Trouble, just released their new killer EP, In Darkness…Have Mercy, which is getting a ton of buzz. Lead vocalist/bassist Jon Torres joined the show and we geeked out on heavy metal and talked about the songs on the EP, what it was like opening for Pentagram in their first show with a new lineup, the other bands the guys have been in, and what to expect next from the band. Jon’s passion and knowledge of the classics at such a young age was inspiring, so please go and listen to the EP and the episode, because big things are coming for Psalm!

(S2E43) – Scott “Wino” Weinrich
On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E43), we are beyond honored to have the legend Scott “Wino” Weinrich on the show.  I really don’t need to say much more than that, but what is even cooler than him just coming on the show at all is that he gave us a full hour of his time, and told such amazing stories, like ones about Lemmy, Henry Rollins, Pantera at Ozzfest, Dave Grohl, Dick Wagner, and so much more. The main focus of the interview is his new solo record, Create or Die, which will be released by Ripple Music on October 24th, 2025 and is simply amazing.  I love all of our guests, but this interview is next level stuff for us. On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E42), straight from Berlin, Germany...Nitzan, Phil, and Joshan from the stoner/grunge/prog band Sheev join us to talk about their killer new record, Ate's Alchemist, released by Ripple Music on July 11th, 2025. The new album is our main topic, including how to pronounce the title properly, but we also cover why the former trio now added a second guitarist, the band’s major influences, their favorite Alice In Chains songs, how Joshan acts as the calm voice of reason in the band, and so much more. On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E41), all the way from Japan, we talk to Nobu from the killer band Hebi Katana!!! Nobu was super cool as we tried to coordinate the interview across time zones to chat about the new record dropping on July 25th via Ripple Music, titled Imperfection, and wow is it excellent. We discuss a bunch of stuff, including how imperfection came to be, Nobu’s influences, how the band came to Ripple, the scene in Japan, and so much more. On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E40) we talk to the Portland, Oregon band SkullDozer, who recently dropped their new record, High Tide, on July 4th, and man is it a ripper. We had both Ben House (Vocals) and Justin Morgan (Guitars) to chat about High Tide and all of its riff and anger filled goodness. We discuss how High Tide came to be, the differences between SkullDozer and the guy’s other bands (Manthus for Ben and Ravine for Justin), the tag “minimalist” from their Bandcamp page and what it means, why SkullDozer now has a bass player, and so much more.  Please check it out!!!
