(S2E38) – Woodhawk
On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E38), we have Turner from the excellent band out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Woodhawk! Turner was gracious enough to give us a bunch of time to discuss the awesome new Woodhawk record, Love Finds A Way, that dropped a few weeks ago, and that continues to be an AOTY candidate. We talk about the origins of the record, the recording process, the Woodhawk tour, Turner’s influences (hardcore discussion, with mentions of Every Time I Die and Better Lovers, a R&THHH first!!!), what song is most requested during their live sets, and so much more. We even have an album of the week classic record of the episode (I will disappoint people here), and Turbo’s Future Classic Song segment. Please check it out!!!

(S2E37) – Hibernaut
On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E37), we are living up to our name, bringing the heavy with Salt Lake City, Utah band Hibernaut! We had Dave, Josh, and Matt from the band to talk about their new caveman heavy record, Obsidian Eye, that drops on July 11th via Olde Magick Records (Kozmik Artifactz outside of US) and be prepared to be crushed by it. Hibernaut is not just about the heavy, the band wrote an amazing concept record that sneaks in some melody to keep this record at the front of your rotation. We cover a bunch of stuff with the guys, and definitely not anything Siegfried & Roy. Go by the record and please give the show a listen!

(S2E36) – Gary Lee Conner (Screaming Trees)
On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E36), Gary Lee Conner, guitarist and songwriter from one of my top 10 favorite bands of all time, Screaming Trees, joins the show. Not sure I need to say much more than that, as Mr. Conner is a legend and we are humbled by him coming on our show to talk about a whole bunch of stuff, including the repressing of the Trees’ first full length, Clairvoyance, on vinyl for the first time in forever (preorders start on July 1st), plus some amazing Screaming Trees stories including some great Mark Lanegan bits. Gary Lee was so great and this episode is a must listen for anyone who loves the Screaming Trees like I do, so please check it out!!!

(S2E35) – Borracho
On this episode of Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E35) we talk to one of our favorite bands, Borracho! We have all three members of the DC Trio join us from their practice space to chat about their upcoming new record, Ouroboros, dropping August 8th, 2025 via Ripple Music. We have been lucky enough to hear the new record and boy oh boy is it killer. We discuss how Ouroboros came to be, the writing approach to the record, how this album is different from the past ones, who the best guitarist in the band is, and so much more, all while on the clock! We were so lucky to be able to chat with one of our favorite bands of all time, so we would love it if you please give it a watch or listen and maybe even subscribe to our channel.

(S2E34) – Mark Aceves (Zed, ACEVES)
On this episode of the Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E34) we talk to the bassist from the legendary band Zed, and now from his own solo project ACEVES, Mark Aceves! Mark’s debut solo record, Magnum Dopus, drops on June 27th, 2025, and it is a killer mix of stoner/punk/grunge/pop that just flat-out rocks. Mark delivers a deeply personal and incredibly fun record, born out of tragedy, that must be heard. Mark was super cool and covered all sorts of stuff about the new record, his influences, what it was like to sing lead vocals for the first time, how this record was therapeutic for him during some very tough times, and so much more. We even get a Zed update with some breaking news on what they are up to. Please check it out!!!

(S2E29) - Jake Cavaliere (Lords of Altamont/Black Honey Cult)
On this episode of the Rich & Turbo's Heavy Half Hour (S2E29), we could not be more excited to talk to rock and roll legend Jake Cavaliere of The Lords of Altamont and of his new project, Black Honey Cult, which Rich has not stopped listening to since it came out on May 2nd, 2025, via Heavy Psych Sounds. Jake was super cool to take all the time he did with us to talk about the new self-titled debut from Black Honey Cult, the band’s origin, where the name came from, and the plans for the band going forward, while Rich tried to guess what Velvet Underground song most influenced each track (Rich is a VU nerd, in case you didn’t know). Jake told some great stories about his time as the “stylist” for The Cramps, life on the road, and even breaks some news about The Lords of Altamont and what is next for his main project. Rich and Turbo also discuss their top albums for May, and Turbo gives us his Future Classic Song. Jake was one of my favorite guests so far, so please check it out!!!
