Not sure I need to say much more than that, as Mr. Conner is a legend and we are humbled by him coming on our show to talk about a whole bunch of stuff, including the repressing of the Trees’ first full length, Clairvoyance, on vinyl for the first time in forever (preorders start on July 1st), plus some amazing Screaming Trees stories including some great Mark Lanegan bits. Mark delivers a deeply personal and incredibly fun record, born out of tragedy, that must be heard. Mark was super cool and covered all sorts of stuff about the new record, his influences, what it was like to sing lead vocals for the first time, how this record was therapeutic for him during some very tough times, and so much more. Jake was super cool to take all the time he did with us to talk about the new self-titled debut from Black Honey Cult, the band’s origin, where the name came from, and the plans for the band going forward, while Rich tried to guess what Velvet Underground song most influenced each track (Rich is a VU nerd, in case you didn’t know). Jake told some great stories about his time as the “stylist” for The Cramps, life on the road, and even breaks some news about The Lords of Altamont and what is next for his main project.
